Harris was born on March 17, , in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Mr. Calvin Williams Sr. Verta graduated from Mansfield Senior High in Verta was very outgoing, she loved to have fun, make others laugh, and she was the life of the party who loved loved to dance. We called her the dancing machine. Because once on the floor she would dance as if she owned it. Verta loved to make up her own dances and the names to go with the dances. Her favorite was the Robot. It was her most famous saying.
She loved unconditionally……whenever you saw Verta she was going to greet you with a smile. And she would never leave without telling you she loves you…. Verta loved her family.
And Verta loved you. Her son and grandchildren were her life. She loved the greatest joys in life from the simplest things, such as family gatherings and going fishing with her sister.
