The community tests were scattered over 3 days in various areas of town. For these tests the team presented the translated passage on Creation Genesis and received feedback from the Deaf community about what may have confused them or answered any questions they had from the video. Our first community test was with our gracious host church in Windhoek. Penduka Community Test The women of Penduka work as artists, recycling bottles into beautiful, glass beads. What we learned: The community tests revealed differences , mostly small, in a few signs, some of great importance, such as the sign for God or Spirit. All of the signs were similar enough to SASL in motions that with a little hard work a Namibian translation team could make adjustments to those signs in the future.
