Police arrested a year-old Turlock resident for allegedly making contact and meeting a year-old girl for sexual activity. Cornejo has a court date set for Tuesday. The Turlock Police Department said in a news release that it learned in late August that Cornejo had inappropriate interactions with the minor over a two-week period. According to police, Cornejo had met the girl at a service station in Denair and they maintained contact on Snapchat and had some in-person meetings.
In response to the information, an officer gathered witness statements and evidence suggesting there may be additional underage victims. Detectives made contact with Cornejo at his residence Thursday and took him to Turlock Police Department.
He was arrested on three counts of lewd acts with child younger than 14 and three counts of arranging a meeting with a minor for sexual activity. Turlock detectives are asking the public for information about other young people who may have been victimized.
