TOMMY Fury gave fans a treat over the weekend after he popped into a Scottish gym to meet with locals and pose for photos. The professional boxer was filming for his upcoming BBC documentary in the area and offered fans the chance to meet him and ask him questions.
Hundreds of locals turned up to the ticketed event in the busy gym, with one lucky fan even walking away with a replica boxing belt signed by Fury himself. Fury also got the chance to officially open a boxing area that was added to Muscle Lab Gym. It was here that he got to see a mural that was painted of him and his brother, former world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury , for the first time. It was a great event There was a full crowd - everyone was excited.
Over people turned up to meet him. Chris said: "It was a great event, Tommy answered questions, took photos, saw the painting with his brother It was part of his documentary with the BBC so they were there as well. Chris explained that word quickly got out that Fury was in the local area after the team took him to a local restaurant for some food before it all kicked off.
Fury stunned staff when he turned up at Butchers Steak and Grill in Elderslie, Renfrewshire, and tucked into a delicious steak. And workers at the award-winning Steakhouse said they were "absolutely buzzing" when Fury said it was "one of the best I've had". Chris added: "First we took him to a restaurant , my friend's steakhouse Butchers Steak and Grill so the word started to get out that he was in the town. But in the build-up to the main event Drew, who is from Ayr , got in some vital training at Muscle Lab Gym - much to the delight to the gym's plus members.
The following day fitness fans welcomed another high-profile visitor when Highlands heavyweight Tom Stoltman popped into work out. The World's Strongest Man, who hails from Invergordon, showed gym-goers his raw strength by lifting 60KG - more than 9st 4lbs. Gym owner Chris Strathearn said: "Tom came straight in, had no breakfast and warmed up on the 60kg dumbells for reps no issues. McIntyre signed posed for pictures with fans and signed the gym's wall of fame whilst Stoltman signed an Atlas Stone.
