We advocates at the individual and systemic levels to remove the stigma in our society unfairly associated with mental illness. We are dedicated to increasing access to care, eliminating stigma, and working with law enforcement and government agencies to promote the welfare of people affected by mental illness. Educational programming offered at no cost by NAMI Racine County demystifies metal illness and can help individuals, loved ones, and the greater community achieve a comfortable understanding of mental illness.
NAMI Racine County provides programs focused on personal wellness, family dynamics, law enforcement practices, suicide prevention, youth mental health, and for healthcare professionals. We believe that sustained wellness can be supported by others who have lived through similar experiences.
NAMI Racine County offers support groups for individuals with mental health conditions, for loved ones of those with mental illness, and a special group for teens. Our organization depends on dedicated volunteers to facilitate support groups, lead mental health education programs, support advocacy efforts, and assist with special events.
