Wineglasses, pint glasses, glass pendants, paperweights, glass ornaments and more can easily be created in our Warehouse Arts District studio. Our skilled teachers — probably one of the owners — will help you create a unique glass art piece using artists tools and materials. You pick the colors and sometimes styles, stand in for a demonstration and then are turned loose!
Once your glass masterpiece is finished it goes into the annealer to cure overnight and then is ready for you to take home we ship, too! Zen Glass Studio brings its expertise into full swing with the most popular glassblowing workshop we offer — the Make-Your-Own Wineglass Workshop. In this one-hour experience, you, the guest artist, choose your favorite colors and hand-select the preferred shaped wineglass top and bottom.
Our dedicated and knowledgeable staff are there to help you until your piece is completed and placed in the annealing kiln or annealer, where it must soak and cool down over the next hours. Our instructor will introduce you to glassblowing with a run down of safety, balance, and techniques. You will turn and roll the liquefied glass through your colors on the end of a steel blowpipe. Starting the bubble and expanding the inside of the ornament with your breath is a real treat! Do you love the look of glass paperweights?
