Rosmarinus officinalis, also known as Salvia rosmarinus and commonly known as Rosemary, is a popular culinary herb that is a member of the Lamiaceae formally Labiatae botanical family. It is a flowering evergreen shrub with needle-like leaves that is native to the Mediterranean and is now cultivated worldwide.
Rosemary essential oil chemotype camphor, having a fresh, invigorating herbal aroma with cineolic and camphorous hints, is commonly blended with oils like Peppermint and Eucalyptus and is perfect for those mornings when you need that extra kick to get focused and going. It may assist with the appearance of skin when properly diluted and applied topically.
It is also ideal when used in a blend that is properly diluted in a lotion or massage oil, for a soothing massage after a long workout. Apply a small amount to damp skin after washing to help seal in moisture. Possible neurotoxicity. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
