Before the release of the sequel, a third film was in development and will set to release on December 24, When Judge Doom is mysteriously revived along with a new boss except in fact it is the cousin of the son of Judge Doom united with Various Villains, and the army of Toon Patrol, who created the Superweapon, So Roger Rabbit and all the other toons must team up with the Valiants to stop them from taking over Characterville along with the second coming of the Dip.
It had been 75 years since the first time Eddie Valiant met Roger Rabbit and entered Toontown, the home of all animated cartoon characters aka Toons. Things had drastically changed since then. Toontown had become more urbanized in and is now known as Characterville, while Maroon Cartoon Studio, now called Maroon Entertainment Studio, is now under the control of Eddie and his son Daniel.
But just as everything seems to be going smoothly, a new threat arises. With this weapon in their possession, they plan to wipe out all toons and turn Characterville into a desolate wasteland.
As news of their plans spread, panic and fear engulf Characterville. Roger Rabbit, the beloved toon who had helped Eddie defeat Judge Doom all those years ago, was determined to not let history repeat itself. The Doom brothers had planned everything about their attack carefully, and they will not tolerate criticism. Roger knows he cannot do it alone. He needs the help of the Valiants, the only humans he trusts.
Eddie, Daniel are reluctant to join the toons because they had put their past behind them and were content with their lives in Characterville. But when they see the devastation caused by the Doom brothers and their Superweapon, they know they have to act. With the Valiants on their side, the toons manage to infiltrate the Doom brothers' lair and steal the Superweapon on the night of the planned attack, But not without a fight.
