Pembroke Estate Management Board. This role will be suited to someone who can relate well to children and work within a team. It involves assisting in the delivery of the sessions which could include arts and crafts, sports, cookery etc. This will involve supervising the activity to ensure It is carried out safely and with the full involvement of the young people. The adult volunteer team are there to help and encourage young people and to set a positive example in the way they conduct themselves.
You will also be required to work with the rest. No specific experience required, just an ability to work as part of a team, be able to get on well with young people and the flexibility to assist with organising and. We will cover reasonable travel expenses.
The centre is on a main bus route, with service 14 stopping outside the centre. Whoever you are, you'd fit in just fine! If you're outgoing and chatty perhaps you'd like to help on the till or the shop floor? Or perhaps you're a little shy and would prefer to beaver away in the background? Our surf mentors will work with our young people in the sea, with our ethos being to let the young person lead what they want to do.
If they want to surf, great! If they want to swim, great! If they want to build a sandcastle, no problem! Its a 2 hour fun session! Volunteer drivers would have the option to this instead of being a mentor, and would not be expected to get in the sea. Mileage can be claimed for fuel expenses. Whilst the session is ongoing you would be free to relax at the beach, grab a coffee or take a walk. We are always on the lookout for new box collectors here at the Devon Air ambulance.
Our Box Collecting has a whole degree of flexibility. We have almost 5, red collection boxes throughout Devon. We ask our box collectors to service each of their allocated boxes at least twice a year. The Devon Air Ambulance welcomes anyone who enjoys public speaking to consider joining our team of speakers. Talks are often requested by small community groups and our volunteers take long a PowerPoint presentation to promote our work, encourage support from local people.
