Sheryn Lenore Hamm March 8, β January 18, Sheryn Lenore Hamm nee Horejsh - Matriarch of our family, year's old, passed away on Saturday morning, January 18th, surrounded by her eldest daughter Lynn and niece Melissa Lecy. Preceded in death by her son, John Hamm, just a little over one year ago, her great-granddaughter, Carly, and her parents, Evelyn Ekwall and Emil Horejsh.
I hope that they are all playing in the sunshine and joyfully reuniting. You know when you are in an airplane and very high in the sky, just above the clouds - it's always sunny closest to heaven. Her lungs are healthy and she's hugging her son and rocking her great-granddaughter.
A special thank you to grandson Tommy for helping Gramma and Grampa with all that you have done for them. Gramma so appreciated your love and presence at home and doing sweet things like bringing her tacos and her favorite KFC coleslaw out of the blue.
You made her happy just being there. It's difficult to put her life to an obituary announcing her death. But I shall try. Mom was a best friend to her family and a confidant and beloved ally. She was always encouraging and very rarely had a bad thing to say about anybody. She was honest and well respected by everyone that she came in contact with. She especially loved to talk to anyone who would listen about her bloodhounds.
She adored her dogs and shared what she learned with others who were also interested. When she was healthy and able to, she enjoyed gardening - our yard always had so many beautiful flower beds and plants blooming in all colors.
