KUTV β Multiple people are in custody this morning after West Jordan police said six people hired three escorts and attempted to kidnap them. Officer Scott List of the West Jordan Police Department said that when the women arrived at the home, located near South Dixie Drive and Carolina Drive, one man blocked the door to keep them inside while another threatened them with a gun.
One of the women called their manager, and the department was notified of an attempted kidnapping around 4 a. When the women told the men their manager was on his way, the men threatened to shoot him. Though when he arrived, no shots were fired. Two women managed to escape and, after the manager spoke with the men, the third woman was also able to exit the home.
As the women and their manager drove away, one of the men fired a shot that hit the cars of one of the men in the house. Two men fled the scene.
