Families come in many forms, faiths, and sizes. Our specialized parent and family programs are designed to help new and first-time parents build their parenting skills in a safe, supportive environment. In addition, our elder outreach programs help to ease some of the isolations that seniors may face, providing visitation services, companionship, and support. Healthy Families is a voluntary and free home-based family coaching program that supports young, first-time parents and helps them create stable, nurturing environments for their children. Home visitors teach parents about proper baby care, promote nurturing and effective parenting skills, and ensure parents have a solid understanding of healthy child development. They also counsel parents on achieving personal goals related to schooling, work, and housing.
Funding through the Massachusetts Home Visiting Initiative provides important service enhancements and supports to our proven home-visiting programming. The Family Support Services Program is an in-home and community visitation and family support service that supports Department of Children and Families families and children. Our Family Support Services families can expect to receive numerous services that will help them to solve the challenges they encounter.
