The rehabilitation team can be found on the first floor of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. We offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to both inpatient and outpatient populations of all ages. We evaluate and treat various impairments including major orthopedic and neurological injuries or illnesses. Treatment options and therapeutic procedures are used to relieve pain, increase range of motion and muscle strength, improve coordination and dexterity, and restore functional mobility.
Occupational Therapy: Evaluating and treating patients with various neurological, orthopedic, psychiatric and general medical diagnoses. The focus of the treatment plan is to return the patient to the highest level of functional activities of daily living ADLs , including, but not limited to self-care, work skills, functional mobility, and general perceptual-cognitive levels.
Treatment modalities may include but are not limited to, life-skills training, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and splinting. Speech and Language Pathology: Evaluating and treating patients with speech, language and swallowing impairments. The therapist also assists physicians in providing the highest quality of care for various diagnoses. Evaluations and treatments are provided to both the adult and pediatric populations and are designed to restore such functions as cognition, swallowing, and speech-language skills.
