Avid hunter Dale Rudolchick had many tree stands in the sprawling hunting grounds around his home in Moon Township, Allegheny County. So when he didn't return home Wednesday night after a day of hunting, that's where family and friends began to look for him.
Unfortunately, when Rudolchick, 53, was found around p. He had been dead for some time. Investigators tell WPXI that they believe Rudolchick was fatally injured in the foot fall from the tree stand. It is unclear how long he was on the ground before being found. Perhaps, where the two met should have foreshadowed the alleged con to come.
The man and woman became fast friends while enjoying harness racing -- and probably some harmless betting -- at The Meadows Racetrack and Casino in southwestern Pennsylvania.
But all was not well. State police say the man, year-old David Lancos, of Baden, Beaver County, soon told the woman he was battling cancer, even seeming debilitated and stricken when the two were together, according to the Associated Press.
