Isabelle and Lily Carriere both lived in this city before the collapse of civilisation, as did Marion Genet , who worked as a janitor at the Louvre. On August 27, , Paris was functioning normally like any other city. However, signs of the impending apocalypse began to slowly appear as the day went on. For instance, an alert was sent to the cell phones of every employee working at the Louvre informing them that the museum was being locked down and they were ordered to remain inside.
