Having updated you on a lot of Backpage lashing and Craigslist legal issues via some news updates, I can finally say that the Craigslist personals site is finally gone for good.
Based on my research, the owners of classified site shut down the whole personals section last week. They did this all in response to a bill that was recently passed by Congress. The Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act was passed and is now a bill that makes site owners liable the all of the content that the users post on the platform.
Well, it means that Congress would be holding Craigslist responsible for false or illegal personals ads. The problem is that some are saying that this could actually make things worse and make it more risky for sex workers escorting out there. Lots of people love the Craigslist personals section, so much that sites have popped up that have tried to replicate the look and feel of the network.
For example, this site here tried and failed miserably. Any other approach is foolish. For now, I think they did the right thing given that Craigslist went to crap long ago.
