We learnt a lot about traditional knife-making and evolution over the centuries. The museum is split in two parts and you can enjoy demonstrations of different techniques. Some of the pieces are unique. The tour was guided and we had lots of fun. The guide tried to connect and make the experience interesting. This is only for the French speakers. This is made up of 2 buildings. One speaks about history of the region, city and its evolution. Two part visit starting with a short film and then various rooms exhibiting knives made in Thiers.
This is followed by part II which is held in a different location about 40 metres away where there is a sound and light show of forging blades and concludes with a demonstration and explanation of the shaping, sharpening and polishing of blades.
