The last two of these already offered free entry, but the three other museums are a new addition. The aim is to boost visitor numbers, which soared during a pilot week of free admissions. The museums within the walled city are housed in lovely historic buildings and so it comes as something of a surprise that a number of them have been around for less than half a century.
