It acknowledges that adolescents are being inundated with both negative and positive messages about sexuality, while the conversations most essential to healthy development are alarmingly inadequate. Adults lecture and adolescents retreat, or adolescents share and adults feel helpless.
The workshop will address how to create containing environments for families so that challenging conversations can take place. She has also been in private practice in the Syracuse community for more than 15 years. Before moving to Syracuse and joining academia, Stone-Fish worked full time with adjudicated adolescents.
