The aim of this department is to create synergies between its research units in order to contribute to major biological advances and to the medicine of the future. Composed of 6 research units focused on understanding the basic mechanisms of cells , physiology and physiopathology, and one service unit, the Biological and medical sciences department is dedicated to developing innovations that will be an integral part of the medicine of the future.
It includes research on host-microorganism relationships, immune and vascular systems, rare and inflammatory diseases, and cancer.
This multidisciplinary department boasts a diversity of conceptual and methodological approaches offering researchers multiple opportunities for interaction, technological and scientific innovation, and transfer to clinical conditions for paediatric, adult or elderly patients.
