The aim of massage therapy is to develop, maintain, rehabilitate, or enhance physical function of the soft tissues in order to decrease pain and adhesions, improving the well being of the client.
The goal of your first few massages will be to begin pain relief, reduce tension and sedate stressed nerves. Your first visit will not solve your problems, but will start the process, as well as provide you with an overall sense of well being. Following your first visits, and once your condition is relieved, your massage will focus on the underlying cause of your symptoms, and the strengthening of the tissues surrounding the problem area in order to prevent the return of your previous condition.
