A nursing assistant is a person who, under the direction of a licensed nurse, performs basic nursing and assistant restorative services for patients and clients which involve:. Note: Students are required to both read and write English at an 8th-grade level; therefore, students are required to have either completed ENG or higher or achieved a score of at least on the Next Generation Accuplacer Reading Placement test at a CSN testing center in order to be eligible to register for the Nursing Assistant course.
Additionally, students are expected to meet all admission criteria, and matriculating students are expected to meet all progression criteria, as well as these Essential Functions of Nursing Students. Students with documented need for accommodation are to meet with the Disability Resources Center.
