You know how much I love fashion, and have been producing fashion events for years. I brought Katya to a couple of my most recent events to show her what I do for a living and I think she was inspired because out of the blue, she asked me if she could have a fashion show for her birthday party. Like mother like daughter! Her party turned out amazing! Honestly, I was able to put the party together in 1 day for a reasonable price and it was pretty easy to accomplish.
First, I reserved a space. We created big bows from wrapping paper and taped them to back of the chairs to bring some life to the boring chairs. I ordered a step and repeat and sequin fabric to create the runway , and 3 helium tanks Party City to have pink balloons all over the room. To make the experience even more special, I created an accessory station, where girls picked accessories like necklaces, rings and sunnies. They were able to take the accessories home with them, too.
They also had a makeup and hair station for braids. While girls were getting ready for the show, Katie from Make to Celebrate prepped fashion inspired activities. They were making the most beautiful bracelets using tape and rhinestones, and even did some fashion sketching. After all the fun activities we wrapped up the party with the fashion show!
The girls had an absolute ball on the runway. We had some dance moves, gymnastics moves of course and lots of happy silly attitude!
After the cake we surprised everyone with video that Katya and I made for the party. The idea was to chat about fashion. I remember when I was little girl nobody talked to me about this. So I thought this birthday party could be a great opportunity to chat fashion. The party was so much fun! So much so, that some of the other moms asked me to do same party for moms! I would totally have a fashion show party for myself as well. Perfect blog with creative ideas to celebrate memorable birthday!
