A Lewis County man was arrested Monday after Seattle police detectives traced email messages and online posts back to him that allegedly offered sex with a child and his German shepherd. A former California firefighter attracted the attention of Seattle police detectives after he allegedly posted online ads offering sex with his German shepherd and, in separate messages, offered to set up a sexual encounter with a child to a couple previously convicted of abusing a 6-year-old, according to police.
The blotter post does not indicate where the couple lives. After obtaining a warrant and tracing the email messages to the Toledo man, the ICAC detectives discovered he had also posted offers for sex with his dog and bragged about facilitating an encounter between a neighbor and the German shepherd, which he claimed was witnessed by a child, police say. Police say the man was booked into the Lewis County Jail on investigation of possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexual conduct.
As of Thursday morning, no one in the jail roster appeared to fit the details of the case and it is unknown if the man has since been released from custody. According to the blotter post, the man is a retired firefighter from California who moved to Washington in recent years. Share story. By Sara Jean Green.
