RCIA is a tradition dating back to the earliest Christians. This rite forms and prepares individuals to lead a full and active sacramental life with God and in communion with the Catholic Church. Christian Initiation is offered for children who have not been baptized before the age of 7 and wish to be received into full communion with the Catholic Church.
It is highly encouraged that the children attend Mass regularly before beginning preparation for the sacraments. In addition to weekly classes, these children will be required to attend additional formation sessions with their parents and special liturgical rites throughout the year leading up to their initiation. Parents interested should register their child ren for Faith Formation classes.
