So I'm getting gas at a gas station near downtown and I see walking by what I suspect was a good old fashioned DC hooker; thigh-high boots, jiggly booty meat hanging out all over the place, snarky attitude when she caught me staring at her Something like "It cost to look".
I quietly got my gas and went on my way, but it got me reminiscing about how crazy it was when I first I got to DC in the early 90s, where you'd see them all the time around Vermont Ave, parts of Ga. Avenue and NY Ave, 14th street Sincerly Hope. DC's Finest. DC was wild back then! Hookers were all over Logan and Scott Circle. One year, some DC vice squad members gathered them all up and marched them across the 14th Street Bridge into Va.

That section of downtown DC did not have the glitzy occupied office buildings, restaurants and nightclubs that exist today. Dark, gritty, cheap and more sinful. That was the 14th Street and K Street corridors I recall so fondly. Today, these neighborhoods are playgrounds for the yuppie class with their "trendy" shops and restaurants with sheik Euro-sound names.
