Airport Director Charles Butcher attributes this to people feeling more comfortable traveling after the pandemic. Butcher says he is most proud of the growth that the airport has seen in the last year. There are also changes coming to the airport to better serve passengers, including a renovated boarding bridge. As of now, the Monroe Regional Airport serves flight to only Atlanta and Dallas, but Butcher says they are looking to include more cities soon.
