The hotel was very clean, and our room was tidied up daily with fresh bedding and towels, which was great. Most of the staff were friendly, though we did encounter the occasional grumpy one.
The pool was a big hit with my son—he was in it almost nonstop. The bar snacks, especially the toasties, were quite enjoyable. The restaurant served nice food, though the selection was somewhat limited. That said, we always found something we liked and never left the table hungry. On the downside, the evenings were pretty dull since the hotel seriously lacks entertainment options. One of the biggest issues was that the hotel seemed overcrowded. It felt like the hotel has more guests than it can comfortably handle, which impacted our overall experience.
In summary, while Santa Susanna Resort offers cleanliness, a good pool, and decent food, the overcrowding, lackluster drinks, and limited entertainment made it less enjoyable than it could have been. Stayed in Jun Bar staff are very friendly. Reception Staff - They lacked local knowledge of their own area, and couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge their visitors. It was the worst customer experience and did not make us feel welcome. I do understand and speak some Spanish.
It was just too much bother for them to be helpful! Restaurant staff - sullen but did clear tables very quickly. However, we can not complain about the food. It was fine, varied, plentiful and a nice selection - thanks to the chefs. Deposit refundable required for tokens so you can exchange your glass - great idea - no glasses left lying about. Small sweetie shop also selling floating devices. Amusement Arcade - No refunds given if the equipment doesn't work - hotel policy.
