Brainstorm a comprehensive list of different kinds of groups. For as many groups as feasible, create a written mission or purpose statement. Then, list values and create codes derived from their missions. Brainstorm examples of disparities between public and conflicting private, hidden codes and values.
Then, write or improvise a short scene between an individual within an institution and someone in power. The individual confronts a concealed code or value. What are the consequences?
Recall or invent a situation that necessitated your making an important choice that led to your deeper understanding of who you truly are. Devise and perform a vignette sixty seconds max in which a heated confrontation between two rivals i. To prevent discomfort, you can stop the scene right before the utterance of the Name that Hurts. In effect, bleep it out. But, write it down on a slip of paper and hand it to the leader.
Write or improvise a scene for two characters A and B, long-time best friends. Make clear how A is in despair. B offers comfort and consolation that includes some kind of an offering, specific gesture, or extended physical interaction not sexual β An Act That Heals.
